Here at Robinson Orthodontics, we are proud to offer many different types of braces to give you the smile you deserve.

Since all people are different, especially when it comes to their wants and needs, we offer different braces to give everyone the smile they want. We are dedicated to giving our patients the orthodontic care they deserve.

Braces work by moving your teeth into the correct position. You will continue to visit the orthodontist regularly to ensure that your braces are working the way they should. Your braces will need to be adjusted periodically to continue to do their job.

Traditional Braces
Even though there are many types of braces, traditional braces are still the most popular. Great strides have been made since they were first used, and they are becoming more comfortable and effective.

Traditional braces use stainless steel brackets and archwires to move your teeth into their proper position. Many teenagers like to decorate their braces with colored rubber bands to give them a colorful and unique smile.

Clear braces
Clear braces are less visible on your teeth than traditional braces are. Because of this, they are very common with teenagers and adults who want to improve their smiles.

Even though you can’t see them, care needs to be taken to maintain your oral hygiene. Clear braces are equally as effective as metal braces, but are more esthetic.

Retainers
After the braces have done their job, you will be encouraged to wear a retainer, which helps to keep your teeth in the right position. Typically retainers are worn day and night for a couple of months after braces are removed to help the teeth to become stable in their new position. After that period, retainer wear time is reduced to nighttime wear to keep your teeth in the perfect position.

Invisible (Clear) Orthodontic Appliances

Invisalign®
Invisalign® is a wonderful alternative treatment to braces. You can straighten your teeth without us putting metal in your mouth. Instead, we use plastic trays (also known as aligners) to move your teeth back into place. Each aligner is custom made to fit your mouth so you don’t have to worry about mouth irritation.

Lingual Braces
Lingual braces are also popular because no one will know that you are wearing them. They are placed behind your teeth. They are custom made for you so they are comfortable.

Lingual braces are commonly used for actors, models, and even athletes. They are even popular for many musicians.
